If you own a dog, you know they can get into all sorts of dirty, disgusting, big trouble but unlike most children, dogs are guilt ridden by their mistakes. It’s not their fault they all have a guilty conscience, most of the time.
Take this Pit-Bull named Drako, for example. After nibbling away at his owner’s insole all afternoon, he shamefully hides his guilty face behind Oddie, his older (but much smaller) longhaired Dachshund brother when their human comes home and scolds them.
The owner of Drako and Oddie, Daniel Martino, captured this loving bond between his dogs one random afternoon. It’s easy to see Drako, the Pit-Bull is the guilty one. He avoids eye contact, shakes nervously and literally uses his brother as a doggy shield. Oddie, the bold, brave and beautiful Dachshund stands firmly in place, makes direct eye contact with the camera and looks straight into his dad’s eyes. We all know he clearly didn’t do it.
The owner, Martino speaks Spanish in the video below so if you’re a little rusty on your espanol or don’t speak Spanish at all, here’s the translation:
“Who was it? Who did this to my insole? Which one of you was it?”
We love videos like this at Digital Doggy because it shows us how amazing and human-like dogs can be. Dogs, they’re just like us. They do stupid things! They get in trouble with their dad! They get completely overwhelmed by guilt! The only thing I don’t understand is why any living thing would want to chew up a shoe. No thank you.
Watch this video and any other guilty dog video you can get your hands on because they are the gift that keeps giving to this planet.
