Planning a birthday party for your dog might make people believe you’re crazy—but who the hell cares?! It’s okay to spoil your dog; they’re members of the family after all. I would rather have a birthday party for a lovable dog than a bratty kid. Am I right, people? Here’s how to plan the best, barkin’, bone lickin’ birthday party you and your dog will ever have!
Step 1: What does your dog like to do? Does he like to run? Swim? Maybe chase birds all day? Lay around on the couch watching cartoons? Try to incorporate the things your dog likes into the birthday party.
Step 2: Pick a location. Remember: although you may think your dog is allowed everywhere, he’s not. The location must be dog friendly. I would recommend a park, your house or a friend’s back yard! The more space the better.
Step 3: Invite friends! Make a Facebook event or send a group text and tell your friends to bring their friends. That way you can meet new people and hopefully their dogs!
Step 4: Make doggie treats! Look here for a yummy recipe. Forget the candles though; most dogs don’t like wax and they REALLY don’t like fire.
Step 5: Have the party! Get ready for your dog to have a birthday he’ll never forget. Dogs only have few birthdays in their lifetime, anyway! Make it special.
Have fun pooches but don’t paw-ty too hard!
