- The movie theatre
I know we want to bring our dogs everywhere we go but sometimes you just gotta say no. The movie theatre will hurt their ears and most likely scare them. They also won’t be able to follow the story line well. Lose lose.
- The grocery store
It’s always better to leave your dog at home while you run errands. It’s not smart to leave your dog in a hot car and it’s dangerous to leave them tied up outside. It’s also uncomfortable to bring them into the store. Your dog smells food and will do anything to eat it. Including jumping up on a sample table or stealing out of someone else’s basket.
- An antique shop
This is a given. Never bring a dog in a small enclosure filled with breakable items. It will not end well.
- On a first date
Unless you both specifically plan to bring your dogs, don’t do it. You don’t want to be that person. Also, you’re going to have to give your pooch a lot of attention. You want your main focus to be on your date, not your dog. P.S. If the date is going badly just make up some story about how you forgot to feed your dog. “Gotta go! Sorry!”
- Children’s Birthday Parties
Unless your dog is extremely comfortable around children, never bring your dog to a kid’s birthday party. The children will be obsessed. “Can I ride him?” “Can I pet him?” “Can I scream in his ear?”And if you say no, you’re the mean, scary lady at the party that the mothers will judge harshly. Not to mention your dog will be stressed out.
